In Between – Napowrimo 4

in between

Awen.

It appears I am
always in between,
somewhere I’m going
and somewhere I’ve been.

Between sunrise and sunset.
Between birth and death.
In the liminal Twilight,
where no one forgets.

Twixt the up and the down.
Twixt the in and the out.
In the liminal breath,
where no thing is found.

Between stillness and flowing.
Between stagnant and growing.
In the liminal landscape,
where no where is knowing.

Between sunset and sunrise.
Between Earth and sky.
In the liminal dawn,
where Awen resides.

It appears I am
always in between,
somewhere I’m going
and some where I’ve been.

Lisa Goodwin 4th April 2021

The prompt was to find a picture of a liminal space and write a poem about it. I am writing a poem everyday for the whole of April 2021 as part of my Lockdown Breakout. I often find myself in a strange poetic or bardic place, in between.
